LOVE’S ADU

A Spacious and Functional Living Space

Project Overview

The Love family wanted an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that provided a comfortable, independent living space while maintaining a connection to their main home. Their vision included a spacious 900-square-foot layout with an emphasis on indoor-outdoor living, featuring a large covered patio in the back and a covered entryway in the front. Our goal was to create a home that felt both welcoming and practical, offering everything needed for daily living while maximizing space and efficiency.

Project Scope & Challenges

Designing the ADU required careful planning to optimize functionality within a compact footprint. The open-concept kitchen and living room create an inviting, multi-use space that enhances the home’s flow. With two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a utility room, the layout provides both comfort and convenience. A key challenge was ensuring the home felt spacious while maintaining practical storage and efficient use of square footage. The covered patio and entryway added an extra layer of usability, giving the homeowners a protected outdoor space to enjoy year-round.

Results & Outcome

The finished ADU delivered exactly what the Love family envisioned—a beautifully designed, functional home that balances style and practicality. The large covered patio extends the living space outdoors, perfect for entertaining or relaxing, while the covered front entryway adds charm and weather protection. Inside, the open-concept layout, modern finishes, and well-designed storage make the space feel larger than its footprint. The homeowners were thrilled with how seamlessly the ADU fits into their property, providing a comfortable, self-sufficient home for their family while adding long-term value to their investment.
